Other Blogs to Check Out

One great part about being in the School of Journalism and Communications at UF is the real world experiences it prepares you for. If you take a look at my biography in my previous post, you can see what I have gained by coming to UF. Gainesville Explorer is one of those real world experiences. Getting to create a blog that I was passionate and driven for helped me learn a lot about my skills as a writer and a blogger.

Some of my other friends and peers also created blogs of their own this semester. Yazmyn Armoni has a great blog for college seniors, or anyone looking for personal stories. Her blog, called Senior Year Chronicles, focuses on her last couple of months as a senior at the UF. Her posts range from personal experiences she has to looking ahead at her life. She leaves nothing out, and is very open and truthful in her posts. It’s a great site for anyone looking for inspiration in their personal lives.

If you’re a senior in college keeping the future in mind then I would recommend a different blog than Yazmyn’s. Stefanie Hall focuses her blog on what comes after college. She gives tips and helpful points for the post-college world. This blog is fantastic for anyone looking on resume and cover letter advice or even tips on how to outline your goals post-graduation. She uses a lot of the information we have learned from our professors and classes at UF.

Need fashion and health advice? Alexus Davila’s blog is just what you need. She writes great posts about the latest in health and fashion such as the struggles of fighting eating disorders, tips on healthy eating, and how to shop for your body shape. The blog is very female focused, but guys might find some helpful information they can use to improve their own lives as well.

These blogs are all wonderful reads and great to look at. The list does’t end here though. Check out my next post to see more blogs!
